ABOUT JOSHUA SMITH
I am an Associate Director in the Fund Investments team at BDC Capital, investing in VC funds across Canada, including climate-tech, impact, and generalist funds.Previously I was an investment manager at Big Society Capital in London, where I invested £15m in four venture funds with the aim of funding more high-performing, high-impact startups in the areas of health, financial inclusion, and education. I also led the development of the venture team\'s co-investment program and several program-wide data initiatives.Before that, I spent almost five years as a management consultant with KPMG Australia and MaRS Discovery District.
