About Joshua Cha

As a Group Program Manager and Cloud Architect at Google, I bring over 15 years of experience in leading complex engineering projects in data center and enterprise SaaS applications. I hold PMI-ACP and CSM certifications, as well as a MBA from UC Berkeley and a BS in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.My mission is to build technology ecosystems that enable Google and its partners to deliver innovative and scalable solutions for customers. I co-founded and lead a product operations team that supports projects spanning Network Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and Cloud Deployment. I also drove the strategy, technical direction, and release management for Google\'s software tools used to design, build, and deploy networking equipment globally. Previously, I led the Google Cloud Partner Engineering team, where I developed and launched new product offerings that connected customers to the Google Cloud Platform over private networks. I have a special focus on product ecosystem development and partner technology integrations, as well as a deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, agile methodologies, software development, and business development.

The specific areas under my scope include Networking, Interconnect, Storage, Security, Compute and Hybrid cloud.• Leadership: Grew TPM and Solutions Consulting team from 1 to 10+ focusing on recruitment, interviewing, and career development. Team currently covers the key Google Cloud Platform foundational technologies such as storage, compute and networking among other areas. A few notable partners in these areas include Palo Alto Networks, NetApp, Dell/EMC, Cisco, and IBM. • Technical Program Management: Developed scalable networking programs for the world\'s largest telecom providers to integrate with Google\'s own private network. Onboarded over 80+ partners to date offering world-wide coverage for customers who want to connect to Google over private Interconnect connections. Notable partners include AT & T, Verizon, Equinix, Softbank, NTT, and British Telecom, Tata among others. • Product Expertise: Viewed as the subject matter expert when it comes to Google\'s partner interconnect product line from both engineering and field teams.
