As a Principal, Mr. Gilman offers senior technical expertise (assessment, planning, design, permitting and construction). Additionally, Josh provides operational support and promotes growth of ecosystem stewardship services (watershed improvement planning, stream/wetland restoration, and stormwater management) throughout the Carolinas and Southeast.Primarily a stream restoration specialist, Mr. Gilman served as a Civil Engineer (PE licensure: NC, SC, GA, FL, KY, MS, TN, WV, TX, AZ IA, IL and MD) and Environmental Scientist with a broad of experience ranging from watershed management to implementing engineering and construction of ecological restoration (streams, ponds and wetlands) and other water quality improvement projects (stormwater Best Management Practices, better site design, and constructed treatment wetlands). By blending an undergraduate degree in civil engineering with a Master’s degree in water resource science, Mr. Gilman values a balanced approach to administering and restoring watersheds. Mr. Gilman’s technical capabilities include hydrology, hydraulics, fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport and stream mechanics, fish passage and surface water modeling. He has serves stream restoration project from inception and agency coordination, through construction and monitoring. In total, Mr. Gilman has designed and/or constructed over 40 stream restoration projects in 13 states including several contiguous multi-mile projects.
