The greatest compliment I ever received was from my manager as I prepared to change jobs. They said they felt like they were losing their right hand. This is the kind of legacy I want to build everywhere I go. One built on hard-earned trust and collaboration. As I learned in Boy Scouts:\"Leave a place better than you found it.\"Passionate ownership and ever-focused improvement are the two principles I take into every project in every role in IT Security.In my role as a Senior IT Security Engineer, I started from nothing and built a high-quality and well-documented Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR solution that focused on coverage, SOC analyst experience, and was mindful of cost.I\'ve achieved several noteworthy milestones over the past few years. At AspenTech/Emerson I implemented over 50 SIEM detection rules and 20 SOAR automation in just the first six months. I improved visibility for analysts and executives with PowerBI reporting which saved my team at AspenTech/Emerson at least 5 person-hours every week. And, at Open Systems International I created a world-class embedded software vulnerability management program for a team of 800+ developers that is still in use as-created years later.My goal is to use my experience creating sustainable processes and implementing collaborative practices to create robust and secure environments that consider the business as a whole and not an afterthought.Let\'s connect and discuss how my dedication to real-world and thoughtful security innovation can enhance and protect your organization\'s digital assets.
