Act as on-call crisis response/management and early intervention for student behavioral issues.• Coordinate the hiring, training, and supervision of Resident Assistant staff.• Support Resident Assistants with residence hall programming in collaboration with the AssistantDirector of Student Activities.• Provide a professional staff presence in Curtis Hall.• Provide resident students with academic, personal and vocational counseling.• Establish and maintain communication with students living in the residence halls throughindividual contacts, meetings, and discussions. Serve as a mediator/facilitator when necessary toprovide resolutions for interpersonal conflicts between students.• Participate in ongoing inspections of residence hall, physical plant and grounds, to ensureAcademy and government standards of health, safety and cleanliness are met.• Manage the inspection for damages and determine damage billing.• Relay and follow up on residence hall work orders to Facilities.• Coordinate safety and emergency response needs with Campus Safety and duty resident assistantsas necessary.• Provide Emergency Evacuation Procedure training for RAs and ensure that all residents ofthe building have received training.• Manage pre- and post- academic year housing for athletes, regiment, orientation, graduation, andcruise.• Determine Company assignments for incoming students and manage ship moves, as necessary, toensure student housing needs are met.• Serve as Chair of the Residential Hearings Board, investigate violations of Academy regulations byresidents and determines accountability of offenders.• Provide room inventory control and key distribution.• Coordinate student room assignments in collaboration with the Director of Residential Life andStudent Activities.• Provide assistance/liaison as needed to other areas of student services.• Supervise and train student employees, primarily Resident Assistants.
