Promoted to Advanced Engineer for strong performance in managing technical projects, customer service excellence, & completing special projects which significantly impacted the fire protection group’s efficiency.• In parallel with previous role, responsible for planning, conducting, & directing testing and analysis for certifying fire protection and flood mitigation equipment.• Represented the FM Approvals Fire Protection Group at the NFPA conference in Boston as well as at the opening of the new USACE ERDC flood barrier testing facility to further FM Approvals’ relationships with customers and other industry leaders.• Worked in partnership with FM Approvals business development at the ASFPM, RIFMA and WEFTEC conferences to both broaden and further my technical expertise as well as build and nurture relationships with FM Approvals’ customers. • Developed and delivered an engaging presentation for flood mitigation equipment that will continue to be utilized to teach the importance and purpose of the various types of equipment to clients and FM Approvals personnel alike. • Continually take on and lead special internal projects as well as complex FM Approvals projects in technical teams that span across multiple FM Approvals groups including on emerging technologies.• Actively train and assist fellow colleagues, including taking on a formal mentorship role for two new employees to guide them in managing projects in a technically sound manner while completing tasks on schedule and within budget. • Conducted thorough technical reviews of both colleagues’ and apprentices’ project work to ensure technical integrity through adherence to FM Approvals’ Fire Protection Group standards and as a result, drive team success.• Represented FM Approvals in the technical committees for the development of CSA Group’s flood barrier standards, FM’s revisions to OS 1-40 & OS 4-14, and UL’s modification of the UL 2443 flexible sprinkler hose standard.
