Joshua Roberson, B.S. FinanceDeputy Director | City of Detroit Department of Neighborhoods | Servant Leader in Policy, Finance & Community DevelopmentI’m an executive-level servant leader with a passion for building communities, shaping equitable policy, and empowering others through financial education.Currently, I serve as Deputy Director for the City of Detroit’s Department of Neighborhoods in the Mayor’s Office, where I lead a dynamic team focused on connecting residents to resources, improving quality of life, and bridging the gap between good policy and the people it serves.In addition to my public service, I serve as Vice Chairman of the Board for One Detroit Credit Union. I also serve as Vice Chairman of the Board for Central Detroit Christian Community Development Corporation.As CEO and Founder of The Road to “A” Status Financial Consulting LLC, I provide financial consulting and literacy training to schools, churches, businesses, and individuals. My work as a financial educator has included partnerships with Wayne State University’s TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, Wayne County Community College District, and Grow Detroit’s Young Talent Program, as well as multiple churches across Detroit.In 2022, I was appointed to the City of Detroit’s Generational Wealth Task Force by Councilman Scott Benson, helping craft policies that launched a down payment assistance program and Tangled Title & Estate Planning Support for Detroit residents.Beyond my professional roles, I proudly serve my community as a mentor, public speaker, high school football coach, and Young Adult Pastor at Abundant Life Christian Center in Redford, Michigan.
