Just before the outbreak of Covid, I believed that my emergency savings would be enough to survive until my next employment opportunity arrived. It was not, and I struggled throughout the epidemic. In fact, the height of the epidemic first opened my eyes to the danger of not having a long-term plan in place for the future.Layoffs for public safety, reduced employment hours, and a global worldwide lockdown. The first that I had witnessed in my own lifetime. I started asking myself some difficult questions. What would happen if I was not able to hold down a secure job, or If I were to suffer from a disability? If I was diagnosed with a critical illness, I had absolutely no plan to cover the needs of my family, let alone my own.That is when I decided that I wanted to pivot towards a career in the financial services sector.I have been a mortgage protection advisor for the last year, providing creditor protection for Scotiabank clients. I have called Scotiabank clients across Canada to advise them on the ways they can protect their largest asset, offering our protection services, and addressing their individual needs and circumstances. Recently, I have committed to becoming a licensed financial advisor. So that I can provide a broader range of protection options and financial education services to Canadians. My goal is to expand knowledge of financial education across all of Canada, so that no Canadian goes to bed worrying about the next day. They will have the peace of mind, security, and the asset growth necessary to take care of their future.\"No Family Left Behind.\"I am interested in connecting with anyone who wants to plan for a better future, pass on a legacy to the next generation, or is looking to achieve short term financial objectives.
