ABOUT JOSHUA P. HAZELTON
Dr. Hazelton is a double board certified Trauma & Critical Care Surgeon who currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at WellSpan York Hospital. Dr. Hazelton is also the Trauma Program Medical Director of the a Level 1 Trauma Center, which serves 3 counties in south-central Pennsylvania. Dr. Hazelton has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and is regularly invited to speak at other Trauma Centers and academic conferences. Dr. Hazelton is a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Western Trauma Association. Working within the medical device industry, Dr. Hazelton has experience with all aspects of medical device development from 510k pathways, full FDA pathways, and device testing in the lab (small and large animals) as well as human clinical testing. Dr. Hazelton currently serves on the Medical Advisory Board for several medical device companies which produce products to benefit the care of the trauma patient. Dr. Hazelton is the Chief Medical Officer for Beeken Biomedical, a company dedicated to producing the highest quality hemostatic dressings available for both civilian and military use.
