ABOUT JOSHUA LUBBEN
As a pianist, cellist, and folk musician, Joshua Lubben has performed throughout the US at stages ranging from South Florida\'s Meyer Amphitheatre and Kravis Center of the Performing Arts to The Gardens Hockey Arena of Warroad, MN. Upon Joshua\'s graduation from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Music Composition, his original music has successfully premiered in festivals, concerts, and showcases, reaching venues such as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Norton Museum of Art (“Art After Dark” concert series), and Mar-a-Lago. In the world of musical theater, Joshua\'s credits include “Woody Guthrie\'s American Song” (actor/musician, Palm Beach Dramaworks), “The Spitfire Grill” (music director/musician, Palm Beach Dramaworks), “Little Women” (music director/musician, Palm Beach Atlantic University), and many more. Currently, Joshua is deep in the writing process of two musicals: Hamnet (in collaboration with friend and colleague Kyle Schnack) and Prodigals: an actor-musician show written alongside brothers Michael and Tom and director Bruce Linser. In Spring of 2020, Joshua was awarded the Artist Innovation Fellowship by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County in honor of his achievements and continued contributions as a Florida-based musician. This award fueled the creation of the music video “Dance for Love,” an original song performed with his band, The Lubben Brothers: a nationally performing folk band hailing from South Florida. The Lubben Brothers been featured in NPR\'s “Live from Here” with Chris Thile, The Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Illustrated, WLRN\'s Folk and Acoustic Radio (91.3), WPTV, as well as radio stations across the country. In December 2021, Netflix featured The Lubben Brothers\' recording of “Holly Jolly Christmas” from their album “Snow” on the premiere Christmas film of Netflix\'s season, Love Hard.
