About Joshua Lee

I\'m currently a software engineer on the Ray Core team at Anyscale, working on distributed systems infrastructure for scalable machine learning. My focus is on building and maintaining the core components of Ray, an open-source framework for distributed computing that powers workloads ranging from hyperparameter tuning to large-scale model training and serving.Previously, I was part of Qualcomm’s GPU Software team, where I specialized in on-device ML inference using the Qualcomm Neural Network (QNN) SDK. I worked on low-level performance optimization for deep learning models running on Snapdragon GPUs, including OpenCL kernel tuning, asynchronous model execution, and LLM support on mobile-class hardware.At Anyscale, I work primarily in C++ and Python, contributing to Ray’s low-level scheduling, task execution, and distributed coordination systems. I\'m especially interested in designing scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure for ML applications — and in pushing the boundaries of what open-source systems like Ray can enable for researchers and production teams alike.
