I rethink common assumptions, and drive better practices that scale beyond my team to whole engineering orgs. My technical depth enables me to make significant contributions, but I consider communication skills to be the greatest asset I bring to an organization.Engineering is about building the right thing, the right way. High-value engineers spend significant time defining and iterating on the former, and develop elegant solutions to the latter. The objective function of software engineering is business outcome - the parameters are important, but must converge towards that global maximum.AI is a force multiplier, which amplifies core engineering practices, good and bad.Software is the specification of details. Languages are tools. Coding is the act of writing software, but software engineering is the integral of coding over time, over the cardinality of contributors. Autonomous teams achieve more, especially when they own all work collectively - that\'s not trivial to achieve but it\'s immensely rewarding for the customer, the business, and the team.

   Mixpanel

   May 2025 — Present

   Building out Mixpanel\'s experimentation platform, particularly the feature flags service. Joined the project in early beta and have taken it to GA and beyond.Leading the charge for AI engineering best practices to 10x the org. AI is an accelerator which only necessitates more first principles engineering to iterate on the friction points, and this is where I\'ve been directing my attention to solve both classic and novel problems.
