ABOUT JOSHUA KATCHER
Joshua Katcher is the North America Hub Strategist at Canopy. He is a next-gen fashion materials expert, designer, educator, author and entrepreneur with a background spanning a wide-range of industries and leadership roles from fashion and media production to academia and plant-based food manufacturing. His award-winning book was written while teaching \"Sustainable Systems\" at Parsons School of Design. He coined the term, published in the (2023), and has co-authored a chapter on the economics of circumfauna published in The Plant-based and Vegan Handbook (Springer, 2024). He has lectured internationally and lobbied in the United States and Italy for next-gen, sustainable fashion materials, and he sits on the board of directors for Collective Fashion Justice. Katcher started the first men\'s fashion website focused on material innovation, The Discerning Brute (20••••19) and then launched the first vegan, ethically-made menswear fashion brand, Brave GentleMan in 2010, which has been featured in, and others. In 2017 Katcher co-founded RIND by Dina & Joshua, a sofi™ Gold Award-winning, vegan, French-style, soft-ripened cheese company in Brooklyn, NY.
