Worked to improve the code quality and throughput of a small team responsible for 100+ internal services used to integrate with shipping carriers. Acted as technical lead for the team.Identified pain points in the existing framework for building shipping carrier integrations, including blocking i/o, a convoluted dependency structure that may upgrades difficult, and a lack of containerized dev environments or deployment options. Created a new framework to address these points and trained the team on it and on modern containerized development and deployment practices.Technology: My team\'s services were primarily built using Python, MySQL, and Redis. Older services used Flask and the new framework used FastAPI and Celery with RabbitMQ for async tasks. A small number of services were written in Golang.
