ABOUT JOSHUA GRIFFIN

Greetings! Senior Master Sergeant Joshua Griffin; proud to serve in the world\'s greatest military; honored to serve 19 years in the Air Force and celebrating over three years in the Space Force. Serving in the Los Angeles area for Space Operations Command as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the USSFs newest initiative.the Integrated Mission Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Delta (Provisional). Joined the Air Force in 2001 and within a year fortunate to find myself learning about space, satellites, and orbital dynamics as a Global Positioning System operator. Within the next four years, I worked in Space Control and space traffic management. Completing my Associate\'s in Space Studies, I was given opportunities to continue growth in Offensive Space Control and found a joy in instructing, evaluations, and Peterson Air Force base in the Inspector Generals office leading small teams as a section supervisor of an active duty, reservist, and civilian workforce. My leadership experience expanded and really came into fruition when I was selected to be a Senior Non- Commissioned Officer and entrusted responsibility of a team of 134 Space Based Missile Warning operators. As an operations superintendent, I was responsible for the 24 hour operations of a $28.7 billion constellation while maintaining relationships with four squadrons and advancing multinational partnerships. Most recently, I completed the United States Space Force Defense Fellows program where I served as a military liaison between the Senate co-chair of the Space Force caucus and defense issues across all service branches. My congressional experience broadened my skills as a military ambassador in a largely civilian and political world while educating congressional staff members on Space Force, future innovation efforts and military defense strategy.
