Currently split between two teams:Curiosity Rover Communications Planner- Plan and facilitate Mars rover uplink and downlink communication, assessing multiple factors such as data volume, Earth-receive time, etc- Develop Python software for automation of comm planning processes- Coordinate with both rover engineers and Deep Space Network personnel to ensure best coverage is possible for rover science and engineering planningOperations Systems Engineer- Lead and manage scheduler software development for a team of 18 people- Develop Javascript and Python software tooling and infrastructure for supporting scheduling processes- Negotiate with other project schedulers to acquire spacecraft tracking time for multiple missions on the - Deep Space Network, such as the Voyager missions- Integrate direct feedback for incremental software improvement from scheduling team- Upgraded existing application deployment with Docker and Postgres replication
