ABOUT JOSHUA EXNER
I’m a Workplace Safety & Health leader who believes that when people feel safe, supported, and valued, they do their best work. I’m passionate about creating environments where safety is seamlessly woven into the employee experience—enabling both personal well‑being and operational excellence.I bring a strategic, thoughtful approach to leading safety programs within complex operational settings, partnering closely with cross‑functional teams to manage risk, strengthen systems, and respond effectively when it matters most. My focus is on building clarity, trust, and consistency—so safety becomes a natural part of how work gets done every day.As a leader, I’m deeply committed to developing people and cultivating high‑performing teams where accountability, growth, and care for one another coexist. Driven by continual learning and improvement, I strive to elevate Workplace Safety & Health beyond compliance—delivering meaningful value for people, the business, and the communities we serve.Outside of my professional role, I’m actively involved in community and national non‑profits that promote safety, stewardship, and access to the outdoors. I serve as a board member with the Kaien Island Trail Society and RCM‑SAR Station #68, supporting initiatives that enhance public safety, emergency response, and community well‑being.I also contribute nationally as a member of the Alpine Club of Canada’s Safety Committee, where I support the design and implementation of safety initiatives for people exploring mountainous environments. This work reflects my broader commitment to protecting people, fostering responsible recreation, and strengthening safety culture.
