About Joshua D.
I have worked many years in the construction industry with a concentration in HVAC. I am also well experienced in other trades of construction and learned how to manage different trades at projects. This was anywhere from a working Foreman type of position to project supervisor and project management. During my years in the construction industry I also learned how to negotiate contracts and see contracts through to completion. This was also very helpful in customer satisfaction and retention. I was also responsible for supplying my department and others with the needed materials through procurement processes, invoice monitoring,and budget control. Upon leaving the construction industry I earned my Bachelors of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix with a concentration in Green Sustainability. The degree was mainly a focus on management practices but also emphasized the management of sustainable practices at company that was both general and in a \"green\" way. After earning my degree I moved around from several jobs until I landed my current role at a local utility contractor company. I hope to be able to apply my degree to a future career but in the mean time I enjoy seeing how a large corporation works from this angle.In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors whenever possible and writing. I have recently published my first novel through a hybrid-book publishing firm which also gave me insight to a different type of contract negotiation and legalities that I was not familiar with. I am currently in the process of developing the second novel in the series and working with a producers on a Treatment plan for the first novel to be pitched to Production Companies to see if it will work as a movie for someone.
