WORK HISTORY
Senior Product Owner @Toyota Material Handling
I own the product direction and delivery for Toyota’s telematics mobile app, used by thousands of field technicians across North America to install, configure, and support connected equipment. I took the app from concept to launch in under 12 months and continue to evolve it based on real-world usage, customer feedback, and operational needs. My scope extends beyond mobile through close collaboration with cloud and embedded/firmware teams. I work across disciplines to align roadmaps, manage cross-platform dependencies, and ensure a cohesive end-to-end telematics experience, supporting tens of thousands of connected devices. In parallel, I’ve led product definition and UX decisions for a new in-vehicle embedded telematics display, translating customer discovery into MVP scope, workflows, and screen behavior. This work enabled a self-implementable experience that simplified training and has been positioned internally as a key usability differentiator. I also partnered with stakeholders to reshape product scope and secure executive funding for a new SaaS package, influencing long-term platform direction.More recently, I’ve owned delivery of cloud analytics features tied to vehicle telemetry, including reporting and alerting that turns operator data into actionable insights for managers and dealers. I use product analytics to understand user behavior, support remote troubleshooting, and improve decision-making, significantly reducing diagnostic time.

ABOUT JOSHUA CRAVENS
I am a product leader with a background rooted in enterprise software implementation and a current focus on building connected products across mobile, embedded, and cloud platforms.I began my career working directly with customers on large scale B2B SaaS implementations, where I spent years gathering complex requirements, configuring systems, leading testing and training, and supporting real users in operational environments. That experience gave me deep empathy for how software is actually used and a clear view into the limitations of solving business problems solely through configuration, even in highly flexible systems.Over time, I became increasingly interested in influencing problems at the product level by shaping workflows, improving usability, and addressing recurring customer pain points at their source. With a technical foundation in software development, I intentionally transitioned into product ownership roles where I could partner directly with engineering and design to drive better outcomes.Today at Toyota Material Handling, I own end to end delivery of a nationwide telematics mobile app, lead product definition and UX decisions for an in vehicle embedded display, and define cloud analytics features tied to connected equipment. My work sits at the intersection of users, business needs, and engineering constraints, with a focus on building products that are intuitive, scalable, and grounded in real world workflows.I am especially interested in product roles where software meets physical systems, data, and complex operational environments, and where strong customer empathy and clear product thinking make a measurable difference.
