Oxlyus was started because of a great love for the outdoors and a passion for wildlife. From a very young age Cornia was exposed to the outdoors interacting with Eagles, Owls, Bobcats, Elk, and many other forms of wildlife. His father was a wildlife biologist allowing Cornia to learn the vital role that we all play within our environment, and the impact we have on wildlife populations. As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, Cornia realized the necessity of wildlife management and the role it plays in preserving wildlife for future generations. He is passionate that his posterity has the same joy and opportunities to interact with wildlife that he did. Over the years, Cornia developed and maintained relationships with people who work to preserve wildlife helping to maintain the fine balance between habitat, wildlife and human interaction. Cornia has heard and understands the challenges faced by managers across the nation. His passion has driven Cornia to work with members of the Utah Legislature and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in passing policy to better meet the needs of sportsmen in the State of Utah—policy on both wildlife tagging and protecting Second Amendment rights related to items that can impact sportsmen. As a self-described tech geek, Cornia wanted to create a platform changing the dynamics of wildlife management. He wanted to give wildlife managers more workable tools to be able to make data driven decisions with information pushed to them directly from the communities who are interacting most with wildlife—hunters and fishers. From this Oxylus was born to preserve wildlife and our outdoor heritage for future generations.
