About Joshua Conner
Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself to you and what I am passionate about. My name is Joshua Conner, and I was born and raised in Lexington, KY. I served in the United States Army from 2005 to 2012 which included 2 combat tours to support OIF operations. I was medically retired in 2012 due to injuries sustained in combat. After my time in the service, I obtained a job in the quality industry for the automotive industry. I worked in the automotive industry from 2012 to 2021. I am grateful for my time in the automotive industry because it gave me an opportunity to gain new skills and experience dealing with OEM\'s, tier 1s, tier 2s, and tier 3 suppliers and the importance of quality and meeting customer needs and demands. I served in multiple positions which included operations team lead, operation supervisor, operations account supervisor, and operation assistant manager. Skills obtained during this time consist of writing work instructions with visual aids for training purposes, understanding the quality needs of the customer to fulfill the requirements, one piece flow and simplifying the process, process flows, PFEMA, DFEMA, 5s, Lean Six Sigma, Project management, cost management, risk analysis, communications between OEM\'s and all tiers involved to fulfill the quality request, business development, and P & Ls. There is so much more but here are some of the skills obtained. I also attended schools to obtain my Engineering Project Manament and Lean Six Sigma Certifications. In 2021 I joined the distribution industry, and I am currently still working in this industry. I have experienced working in both the aviation part and ground operations for the distribution industry. There are a lot of moving parts for this industry and it to be successful.I am currently attending SNHU to obtain my bachelor\'s degree in information technology and after the goal is met, I look to transition to the IT industry to help fulfill the needs of customers and fulfilling new acquired skills and goals.Ultimately, I am dedicated leader, and I am passionate about learning new skills, completing tasks, problem solving, analysts, training and educating people, meeting deadlines, and networking and meeting new people in and out of the industry regardless of which industry I am working in.
