Working closely with members of bloods.ai, I have developed models to predict blood health compounds using near-infrared spectral data. By utilising methods of engineering features in the spectral data combined with robust feature selection, our models are now able to effectively distinguish between low/healthy/high levels at varying accuracies for the following compounds- Vitamin D- VLDL cholesterol- Mean platelet volume- Platelet distribution width- Urea nitrogen
