ABOUT JOSHUA C. BLANCHETTE
Over the past 20 years I have worked within Bond & Specialty\'s Private & Non-Profit group as a Home Office employee with increasing levels of authority & responsibility, handling most territories on the East Coast at one time or another. I have significant experience with \"legacy\" management liability lines but over the last 36 months the vast majority of my time has been spent working on cyber liability with the explosion of cyber claims starting in Q1 2019. Given the lack of any technical computer science background (but being a polymath who enjoys learning), in 2019 i threw myself fully into the world of cyber & dedicated myself to understanding as much as i could about IT security/cyber security. Since then I\'ve been tapped to lead a number of projects related to cyber security, regularly participate in underwriting calls, regularly present & review extremely complicated cyber accounts, collaborate with cyber product leads/enterprise product leads, Risk Control and various other resources within Travelers related to cyber liability. Cyber security is an absolutely fascinating field that keeps me constantly trying to learn & hone my skills.
