I am part of a team of wind turbine technicians responsible for performing servicing, troubleshooting, retrofits, and corrective interventions on Siemens Gamesa D6 wind turbines at the Westermost Rough and Race Bank offshore wind farms. This includes:•Conducting visual inspections of yaw motor oil levels, topping up as required, and verifying motor clearance tolerances using a feeler gauge in accordance with manufacturer specifications.•Following troubleshooting of a leaking hydraulic blade block, replaced the component due to damaged internal threads compromising sealing integrity.•Following troubleshooting of faulty UPS Batteries, replaced all the batteries in order for them to maintain charge.•Emptied generator sump of waste grease and also conducted generator fire alarm and emergency stop testing.•Emptied excess grease collected in the pots around all 3 blades.•Conducted visual internal blade inspections.•Conducted bolt torquing, tensioning and stretching using hydraulic stretching and torquing equipment.•Transferring to the turbines each day from a Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV).•Using the Avanti lift to transfer up and down the turbines each day.•Check the cooling system pressure and top up where required.•Remove the pressure relief valves for testing and replace them with up-to-date, pre-tested valves.
