Experience
Outreach Program Manager
Mar 2020 — Present · Portland, OR, US
As Outreach Program Manager I engage the Lloyd community, form partnerships, and develop programs that create an equitable, prosperous, and resilient neighborhood. This involves managing initiatives, pilots, and projects that fall into four major priority areas- Residential Resilience: These programs focus on identifying ways to build community bonds among Lloyd residents who live in relatively isolating apartment/multifamily environments. We use social justice, placemaking, emergency preparedness, and climate to reach people and build resiliency- Path to Decarbonization: Having established significant energy efficiency targets to reduce energy usage and global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, our Energy Action Plan has identified programmatic areas to lead and directly influence. This includes convening the Lloyd EcoDistrict Action Forum (LEAF) stakeholder group; managing LAMP and CHAMP (LED lighting retrofit and eclectic vehicle charging installation programs with social benefits); tracking energy usage across the neighborhood through Building Performance Benchmarking, and working with multifamily residents to energy conversation programs- Climate Adaptation: Managing programs that respond to the immediate climate hazards – such as operating cooling centers during heatwaves or developing workshops and materials to be prepared for poor air quality days – and creating long-term neighborhood mitigation strategies to manage the effects of a changing climate locally - Pollinator Placemaking: Drive projects that create a collective impact in our community, beautify, support the climate, and educate. This includes the Pollinator Corridor expansion projects, transforming Peace Memorial Park, and pilot community gardening projects/
