An executive member of the Engineering and Building Systems Management team.Oversee a team of skilled high voltage electricians, generator mechanics, elevator technicians, building automation specialists, project managers, outage coordinators, and work control specialists.Responsible for the high voltage and emergency power systems supporting 15 million sf of medical and research space. This includes all Joint Commission regulatory requirements, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and contractor oversight for outsourced work. The emergency power infrastructure includes 58 generators with over 61 Megawatts of power and nearly 300 automatic transfer switches. Responsible for the vertical conveyance systems for all MD Anderson properties including 270 elevators and 30 escalators. This includes in house support and outsourced vendor support.Responsible for the Building Automation for all MD Anderson properties through in house technical support and outsourced vendor support. Responsible for implementing the MD Anderson BAS Master Plan to update all 15 million sf of BAS systems over the next 5 years with a budget of $30mm. Responsible for the outage coordination of all utility outages on all MD Anderson properties, including in house and vendor related outages. These coordination efforts are responsible for the successful shutdown of utilities to complete work during nearly outages annually. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the work control and 2-way radio systems.
