About Joshua A.
Joshua has more than 20 years of experience in the international development space, working with and engaging international and local organizations focusing on reducing poverty and hunger, and encouraging inclusive growth that engenders equity, helping the vulnerable in society, particularly smallholder agricultural producers in developing countries. He is a leading international development specialist in designing, implementing and managing development projects in Africa and Asia and has held senior positions in international development and donor organizations. He has advised policy makers and consulted for international organizations and development partners covering agricultural productivity, policy, and advocacy. He has published journal articles and chapters in books covering a range of policy issues. In 2017 he received the Bruce Gardner Memorial Prize for applied policy analysis in recognition of outstanding impact on agricultural and related policy. Joshua has a PhD in agricultural economics from Michigan State University and master’s degree from the University of Arizona.
