In this role, I gained extensive experience in test method development, quality documentation and product design optimization.PROCESS/MANUFACTURING ENGINEERINGAs a product engineer at 3M, I was able to branch out and develop many skills in process engineering. Early in my career, I was responsible for thin film winding, slitting, treating and cleaning. On later projects, I was able to learn a lot about precision coating, coating formulation and production scale up at several manufacturing plants in the US and Asia.APPLICATION ENGINEERINGIn my role as an application engineer, I was able to collaborate with customers to help them design their display backlights to work well with 3M film products. This role helped me develop a great ability to understand and predict the needs of the customer.
