I am a grief, career, and mental health counselor who works with students, faculty, professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, and their families. I\'ve owned and operated AutumnSpring Counseling, a private-pay counseling practice seeing clients in State College and online, since September 2021. My professional practice as a counselor focuses on clients who are in transition—anyone who is facing challenges, decisions, and transitions that impact the course of their life or their contentment with it.Transition changes us. Especially the transitions that impact our identity—the way we see ourself, and the ways we perceive others perceive us. I\'ve experienced transition myself, moving from a career of unmet expectations and obstructed goals in higher education to my current and fulfilling career as a counselor and entrepreneur. I\'ve specialized in the combination of grief, career, and mental health counseling areas because of my clients in transition. I often work with clients facing anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress concerns stemming from their family, work, or personal lives.I have 20+ years of experience in higher education from my first career as a faculty member at two universities (OSU & PSU), program coordinator, research assistant, and student.
