Serves as a member of the athletic department’s executive leadership team.•Act as Controller for the Department of Athletics while working with the University Controller’s Office to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and GASB accounting standards.•Provide financial oversight to the Athletic Department, the Athletic Foundation, the Charlotte 49ers Ventures sponsorship entity, and the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.•Prepare annual budgets by collaborating with department heads and coaches.•Issue regular budget reports to department heads and coaches.•Oversee insurance program for student-athletes, vehicles, and travel.•Manage the internal Athletic Department Business Office and provide administrative budget approval for internal budgets.•Project and forecast revenue and expenditures on an ongoing basis to ensure a positive year-end budget outcome•Coordinate all financial reporting, including the NCAA agreed upon procedures (AUP), Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and any other NCAA or American Athletic Conference reporting requirements.•Develop funding models for all major athletics facilities projects
