Moving to the Strategic Infrastructure Works on the Meridian Water development, I am responsible for delivering circa £22m of earthworks, contaminated land remediation, and controlled modulus columns ready for the highways and structures teams to build roads and bridges. This includes complex environmental specifications for soil turnover and testing, groundwater treatment with air sparging, excavation and burial of invasive species, productivity tracking with LiDAR drone surveys, and 4D programming. It also involves liaising directly with stakeholders such as the EA and designers for FRAPs, flood modelling, and other statutory permits. I am also responsible for £3m of soft and hard landscaping to the new roads and parkland, including thousands of new trees and over of seeding and soft planting.
