About Josh Creamer
I am the Assistant Chief of Operations and Training for the Boone County Fire Protection District. The Fire District covers 500 square miles of territory and responds to 4,500 calls per year with 185 volunteer firefighters. Additional duties include serving as the Project Manager overseeing the implementation of all activities in response to the $14 million 2014 bond election. This includes the management of three committees responsible for apparatus purchasing (13 new apparatus), facility design & construction (2 new stations, 11 renovations), and equipment (SCBA & portable radios). Primary Accomplishments & Achievements-Master\'s Degree from Oklahoma State University in Fire & Emergency Management Administration-Successfully written 2 FEMA grant applications ($100k & $500k)-Project manager for $14 million bond project-Legislative liaison for Missouri Emergency Management Association (MOEMA)-Written article for Fire Engineering magazine-Deployed to 7 incidents with Missouri Task Force 1Specialties: Training, Project Management, Grant writing & management, Emergency Management, GIS, Volunteer Recruitment & Retention, EMS, Incident Support Teams, Firefighting, Disaster response
