ABOUT JOSH C.
Cybersecurity has always been more than a job for me—it’s a passion I’ve followed from a young age. I started with web design at 11 and haven’t looked back since. That early curiosity, combined with a determination to overcome challenges like living with Cerebral Palsy, has shaped how I work: resilient, focused, and people-driven.I began my career as a degree apprentice at BT, gaining hands-on experience in threat intelligence, hunting, and incident response. Since then, I’ve worked across telecoms, consultancy, and financial services—bringing a well-rounded view of the threat landscape and how to defend against it.Today, I’m a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at Computershare, helping drive intelligence-led cyber defence across global operations. I’ve supported everything from threat modelling and hunting to executive reporting and stakeholder engagement. My focus is on translating threat insights into real business impact. Before that, I led Operational Threat Intelligence at NCC Group, where I helped shape CTI strategy and worked closely with clients on dark web monitoring, VIP exposure, and tailored reporting.I’m proud to hold industry-recognised certifications, including: • CISSP • CRTIA • CompTIA CySA+, Security+, Network+ • AWS and Azure FundamentalsI also serve on the UK Cyber Security Council’s Youth Advisory Panel, where I advocate for early-career professionals and support efforts to make the industry more inclusive and future-ready.Outside of work, I referee rugby union, which sharpens my communication, leadership, and decision-making under pressure. I’m especially interested in how we scale security through automation, improve maturity in the private sector, and connect technical insights to business outcomes.Whether it’s mentoring, knowledge sharing, or collaboration—I’m always keen to connect and help build a more resilient cyber community.
