About Josh Vomund

I\'m a 4th year student athlete at Chapman University studying Applied Human Physiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, along with a Minor in Business Administration. I\'m passionate about helping others regain their independence through movement, showing people all the different ways they can improve their health to live a longer and more fulfilling life! I’ve been able to help do this as a Physical Therapy Aide at San Ramon Valley Physical Therapy, assisting with patient care and helping the clinic run smoothly. I plan on applying to DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) programs after completing my degree with the hope of eventually becoming a licensed physical therapist. I also enjoy graphic design and social media marketing. I was able to do this by managing the Instagram page and Linktree for the Chapman Men’s Lacrosse team for 3 years. I worked to create logos, graphics, and captions in order to promote our team and increase our fan base. As a student-athlete, I love sports and have been able to share this passion as the head coach of a high-level high school travel lacrosse team (ADVNC). I work with my athletes to help them develop as players and as people, teaching them the game I love while also building good habits that will help them succeed in life after sports. While playing lacrosse in college I was a team captain, a 2-time all-conference selection, and a 2-time MCLA scholar-athlete. Through both of these opportunities, I\'ve built my leadership skills and learned how to work with all kinds of people.

   Educated and formed connections with patients of various populations-Maintained cleanliness while using treatment modalities on patients in a fast-paced environment-Assisted patients with exercises as needed-Set up and breakdown of TENS unit and ice/hot pads after patients received treatment-Performed ultrasound treatment and set up patients on cervical/lumbar traction-Occasionally helped with front desk duties like check-in, copays, paperwork, and scheduling-Set up and broke down treatment modalities for 50+ patients a day-Cleaned tables and gym equipment-Cleaned, folded, and stocked laundry, changed pillowcases and towels-Refilled cleaning supplies and ultrasound gel.
