About Josh Torres

Josh leads with conviction and a will to win that focuses on continuous improvement. A former U.S. Presidential Management Fellow and Marine Corps veteran, he currently serves as Associate General Counsel at PAR Technology, Inc.(NYSE: PAR), helping to lead the company’s efforts to understand, manage, and reduce legal risk with a focus in the following areas:* Data privacy and strategy * Cybersecurity * Technology transactions * Artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)* IP * M&A Before serving in his current role, Josh was an Assistant General Counsel at The Home Depot, Inc.(NYSE: HD), and prior to that he was the Data Protection Officer and a Senior Corporate Counsel at iCIMS, Inc. At both organizations, he was responsible for companies’ compliance with global data privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection laws and regulations, including the GDPR, EU-US Privacy Shield, China’s PIPL, and CCPA/CPRA. Prior to his time at iCIMS, he also served in similar capacities at EBSCO Industries, Inc. and Hibbett, Inc.(NASDAQ: HIBB). Josh also has a lifelong tradition of public service, including one appointment to the U.S. Presidential Management Fellows program, where he served as a supervisory attorney-advisor with the Social Security Administration, and 10 years of active duty service with the US Marine Corps, focusing on C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, & reconnaissance) operations. Josh holds a Juris Doctorate from The University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from Auburn University, where he was the 2002 Distinguished NROTC Graduate and Battalion Commander. He also holds executive certificates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
