About Josh Solomon

Hello, my name is Josh Solomon, and I’m a junior at Syracuse University\'s Newhouse School of Communications, where I study Broadcast and Digital Journalism. I’m passionate about sports broadcasting and journalism, with experience in podcasting, play-by-play, color commentary, hosting, and interviewing.At SU, I’m actively involved with CitrusTV, WAER, and Z89, covering a variety of sports and storytelling opportunities. With CitrusTV in my sophomore year, I covered Syracuse Volleyball in the fall and Women’s Basketball in the spring. At Z89, I am on the sports staff, assisting with the production of live broadcasts and creating audio pieces for the station. In addition, at Z89, I am on a sports show on Mondays and a music show on Fridays. At WAER, I work behind the scenes on game days for Syracuse Football, Men’s Basketball, and Men’s Lacrosse, as well as hosting videos and creating audio pieces for the station.Outside of campus, I’ve gained professional experience as a Video Production Intern with the Sussex County Miners, where I operated cameras around the stadium to help run a smooth, high-quality broadcast. This past summer, I served as a Broadcast Intern with the New Jersey Jackals and Morris Elite Soccer Club, hosting pre- and post-game shows, calling live matches, and conducting player interviews.I’m eager to continue growing as a storyteller and broadcaster, and I look forward to taking on new opportunities that help me build and refine those skills.
