ABOUT JOSH MIXELL

I began my career in sales in 2018 when I accepted a sales consultant role at Bobby Rahal Acura after many years in the retail and restaurant industries. Although this was a new experience for me, I was able to use a lot of the skills I learned while working in these industries for my new profession. One of those skills I took away was customer engagement/relationship building. As a waiter for Outback Steakhouse while in college, I learned how to engage with customers on a personal level which allowed me to transfer that to my sales role for Acura. This is an important trait to have as a sales person because it shows that you truly care about the person you are talking to and not just trying to sell them something. After working for Bobby Rahal for 3.5 years, I decided it was time to move on. I accepted a position with Full Blast Pressure Washing as their Commercial Sales Director in May of 2022. This was a completely new experience for me as I have never done outside sales before but with over 3 years of experience in sales already, I was confident I could do this. Some of the main hurdles to overcome was prospecting, cold calling and networking as I never had to do any of that in my previous roles. With time, practice and a lot of failed attempts, I was able to overcome a lot of these new skills to learn. I am still learning each and every day in this role but I’m proud of how far I’ve come!
