About Josh Keller
My name is Josh and I am an aspiring Network Engineer. I am pursuing my MS Business Cybersecurity Management student at West Virginia University, where I also earned my BSBAD in Management Information Systems.I\'m currently seeking future full-time opportunities in network engineering with companies that primarily focus on helping people, like higher education institutions, healthcare systems, or ISPs. My current interests are in network access, network security, switching, field engineering and support, and structured cabling systems.I am Network+ and ISC2 CC certified, and am actively pursuing my CCNA. In addition to this, I\'m also actively developing my skills in my personal homelab, where I\'ve gained experience with technologies such as network segmentation, network security, VPN and remote access, network services, and troubleshooting.I possess problem-solving mindset shaped by diverse work and leadership experiences. My education at WVU has given me a unique blend of applied cybersecurity knowledge, business insight, and strong interpersonal skills. Professionally, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the importance of critical infrastructure through first-hand experience in student consulting, higher education, and healthcare IT. This unique skillset makes me a prime candidate for network engineering positions, where I look to make a great impact on the consistent delivery of secure and fast network infrastructure.I am currently working as a Network Engineer Assistant at Virginia Tech, where I am actively supporting a robust network that connects and supports one of the nation\'s finest universities and a R1 land-grand institution. My work there includes lifecycle management, troubleshooting, installation and implementation, and resolving connectivity and delivery issues. I am also serving as a Cybersecurity Resilience Intern with the Cybersecurity Resilience Resource Center (CRRC), playing a key role in the launch and operations of cybersecurity outreach and consulting in the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). My work there includes project management, CRM, organizational leadership, network security audit and evaluation, network security, and business operations.I love meeting and networking with with professionals across a variety of industries, and I look forward to connecting with you to further discuss my skills and interests!
