Plans, organizes, promotes, directs and administers comprehensive town-wide parks and recreation programs; supervises and directs senior programs; oversees through subordinate supervisors and conducts departmental personnel duties such as: hiring, disciplining, terminating, training and appraising the performance of department personnel. Develops department policies. Oversees park and land acquisition and development projects. Develops staff training and growth development programs. Develops and implements capital improvement projects for parks, recreation facilities, greenways and public lands. Research and application for grant proposals; administers awarded grants for recreation, parks and greenways. Prepares budget requests for Recreation and Parks Department, controls expenditures of appropriate funds, supervises preparation of reports and maintenance records
