About Josh Glasser
I grew up in North Carolina and was raised in a family of public servants. I caught my passion for public health and environmental health while studying as a Fulbright Scholar in Vietnam, and worked my way through the Harvard School of Public Health to secure a Presidential Management Fellowship in the US Department of State in 2013. From 20••••25, I spent 12 years working at increasing levels of responsibility at the State Department and the White House, building science and technology platforms, policies, and programs that make humanity safer from the threats of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. My work brought me from the ice sheet atop the Arctic Ocean to the peaks of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to the halls of the United Nations to the working offices of nearly every federal agency. I left the government in March 2025 to continue this work in civil society, advising organizations such as the Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, the World Meteorological Organization, the Asian Development Bank, and UNICEF. In 2026, I joined Silver Lining as Senior Director for International Strategy. When I\'m not working for a clean and safe environment for all, I spend time with my amazing wife and kids (ages 8 and 4), playing fetch with my dog, hiking in the woods, and taking advantage of the immense amount of cultural offerings that the DC area has to offer.
