ABOUT JOSH DAVIS

Hello! I am a current masters in Conflict Resolution student at Georgetown University and a graduate of Regis University, receiving my BA in Peace & Justice Studies and Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Civil Engagement. I minored in Spanish, Religious Studies, and Conflict Transformation. I have recently served as an independent researcher for anti-corruption opportunities with the Center for International Private Enterprise\'s Anti Corruption and Governance Center and tracking efforts to minimize ethnic violence in Samburu, Kenya with the Community Safety Initiative (CSI) KenyaMy graduate course work has consisted of studying international diplomacy and mediation, and anti corruption. I spent four years working with the Engaged Scholar Activist Program with the Regis University Center for Service Learning. I served as the head of marketing and engagement. I worked on everything from tabling to creation of pamphlets to creating and facilitating panels. I am currently on a full tuition scholarship at Regis University as a result of winning the Peace and Justice Studies Award in 2019 for outstanding work in the world of social justice. My work was centered around inequitable treatment of LGBTQIA+ youth but through studies and relationships have grown to encompass realms such as racism and sexism. I am a very group motivated person and a textbook extrovert. Team work really does make the dream work! I have natural leadership tendencies and am quick to dissect what my team members are strongest at so as to ensure those working with me have jobs best suited to how they operate as people. I do not shy away from conflict and stand up strongly for what is important. In terms of working as a part of a team versus leading one, I can connect well with anyone on anything. I pride myself in being a multifaceted and multi interested individual capable of building relationships with team members, and this is what I think makes team work possible. Those who know and care about one another work best together.
