ABOUT JOSH BERNSTEIN

Hello! I\'m Josh Bernstein, a seasoned student leadership executive and published student author. At heart I am geopolitics and digital policy student interested in the intersection of technology and inter(national) security policy. I enjoy reading about a range of topics including data governance and regulatory compliance in the EU or a National AI security Policy strategy. Since graduating Western University\'s Huron University College from the Governance, Leadership and Ethics program, I am I have actualized my interests in security and digital technology policy in the Sciences Po Paris - University of Toronto Munk dual masters degree program (MPP-MGA). Upon completing year one, the Master in Public Policy (Digital Technology Policy Stream - Sciences Po Paris) I have been given the privilege of serving the international community at the UN family in the Border Identity and Solutions Unit of UN Migration (IOM) in Geneva. During my internship I have supported capacity building efforts in 175 countries to prevent human trafficking, migrant smuggling, transnational crime and terrorism through organizational training, knowledge management, national engagement strategy development and data analysis. In September 2024, I will take my international experience to Toronto, Canada to complete the Master of Global Affairs (Security Concentration - Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto) component of the dual-degree.
