About Josh Armantrout

I started designing when a chance encounter with the Design team at Capital One showed me that my years-long obsession with how to close the gap between crappy customer experiences and the brand promises of the companies I worked for was NOT, in fact, some kind of obsessive psychological disorder, but an entire JOB.Ever since, I\'ve been designing for the love of the game. After bootcamp-ing my way into the industry, I\'ve been devouring everything I can get my hands on to get better at designing anything that comes my way. Software products, websites, icons, prints, merch — if it can be designed, I\'m practicing how to design it. Along the way, I\'ve helped shape the early combined offerings from BILL and Divvy, designed killer 0-1 experiences for BILL\'s Spend & Expense product, grown and evolved BILL\'s Design System, and am currently leading the design efforts for all the core features of Spend & Expense.I\'ve built a reputation at BILL for being the guy that you call when a problem is complex, and the approach requires thoughtfulness and a high bar for quality.(and also for being the guy you call when you wanna party) I am maniacally obsessed with making everything I touch the very best I know how to make it. The people who love working with me are the same way.(or they want to be the same way) Becoming a true master of my craft means everything to me. I never thought I would find design. Design was kind enough to find me, and I want to return that kindness by becoming one of the greats.
