ABOUT URIEL PEREZ

Throughout his academic career, Uriel has been involved in leadership roles with organizations that promote health such as Reforming Education on Drugs (RED). This club was recognized as “Club of the Year”, amongst 350+ clubs, for their innovative approach to combatting adolescent drug use. Additionally, Uriel diversified his skill set by operating his own painting franchise. Through this franchise, he developed his marketing and project management skills and generated over in total revenue – while being a full-time student. Uriel continues to seek roles that require organization and innovative thinking. With an interest in a career that combines his health and business interests, he has co-founded a health-tech start-up that aims to assist with pediatric eczema. Additionally, for his Master of Biomedical Technology project, Uriel conceptualized a therapeutic for Acute Ischemic Stroke and pitched his science and business strategies to investors in the biotechnology field, ultimately winning Best Pitch for his faculty. These are the types of impactful projects he would love to be involved with in the future. Uriel holds a BHSc (Hon) in Biomedical Sciences and a Master of Biomedical Technology from the University of Calgary. I am always open to the opportunity of networking and sharing innovative ideas.
