ABOUT JOSETTE ODGERS

I am a recent graduate from the University of California San Diego, pursuing my passion for real estate and development, graduating with a B.S. degree in March of 2024. I am also a NCAA Division I swimmer, representing UCSD in national and international competitions. Swimming has taught me the value of dedication, teamwork, and resilience, which I apply to my academic and professional endeavors. In addition to being a student-athlete, I have gained valuable experience as a tour guide at La Jolla Kayak, where I led groups of up to 40 customers on kayak and snorkel tours, educating them about the marine life and environment of La Jolla Shores. I also mentored new employees, assisted special needs clients, and helped the beach crew with carrying kayaks and getting customers through the waves. Through this role, I developed my interpersonal skills, public speaking skills, and time management skills, while enjoying the outdoors and interacting with diverse people. I am also extremely crafty and love to DIY anything I can. I recently taught myself how to make surfboards and I have loved experimenting with this new skill. I am always eager to learn new things and challenge myself. I also recently passed my California Real Estate Salesperson exam.
