José Ramírez-Garofalo is an Ecologist and serves as the Director of the Freshkills Biological Station, and the Director of Science and Research Development for the Freshkills Park Alliance. His work focuses on documenting changes in the ecological communities in and surrounding New York City, as well as understanding the coupled dynamics of the human-natural system.
