About Jose Alfaro
I\'m a Cinematographer, Producer and Editor who is passionate about storytelling and using media to tell visually striking authentic stories. I have over 15 years of experience in filming and producing content. I spent over a decade producing content for a social enterprise media production company and also doing documentary work. I\'m passionate about using my craft to expertly highlight people and stories specially when those are stories that are often untold.I believe that media is a great tool for social change so in my spare time I work on media that deals with important social issues such as Immigration, Racism, income inequality, and LGBT rights to name a few. Highlights-Produced and shot the award-winning documentary “El Canto del Colibri” (2015) distributed by Frameline, streaming on Amazon and seen on PBS-Director of Photography for 20+ videos for Golden State Warriors, played at Chase Center and on their social channels -Shot content for the Golden State Warriors, National Park Service, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, SFPUC, Salesforce, UCSF.
