I oversee dashboards, analytics and technology for INEOS Olefins and Polymers Commercial Supply Chain Operations group. INEOS dashboards answer the “What?”: reveal the current state of our business, expose what happened in our business, and disclose trends in our business. INEOS analytics answer the “Why Behind the What (of dashboards)” Our analytics take dashboards a step further, digging down deeper into the data. Posing questions like: “what are the solid business outcomes?” or “why did shipments suddenly fall or increase?\" Technology is a powerful instrument in the use of improving processes and I am a proponent of using technology in a way that makes processes manageable. It is the utmost importance that data day-to-day flow of information in/out of each entity has processes that are operationally sound with data “clouded”. This can be achieved with the use of technology. We have implemented, thru a project team, the use of interfaces, dashboards, analytics and sound processes that have data available for the cloud. This clouded data is used in dashboards/analytics that improves the health of the supply chain network. Example: I work with a team that developed and operate an internal created distribution optimization software system, which optimizes each customer and product so that it is serviced from a distribution location that provides efficiency for the customer and the highest cost savings for the company. As the manager between our systems and the third-party facilities and knowing the business processes I was able to manage technology to simulate the business process into a technological solution. I manage a group of Supply Chain personnel and third party providers to develop/operate dashboards and analytics. Our goal is for our users through the use of dashboards and reporting tools, make decisions to enrich the strategic network which lessens the occurrence of many day-to-day issues.
