Before assuming the position of OIMS Deputy Director Mr. Rivera served as one of the Marine Corps Enterprise ITSM/ITIL SMEs concentrating on Event and Access Management as the ITIL Process Owner and previously served as the MCEITS Technical Services Director and Current Operations New Capabilities Integration Lead at Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center at MCB Quantico, VA.Prior to supporting the Marine Corps as a Government Civilian Mr. Rivera supported DoD as Government Contractor at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as Deputy Task Manager of Task Order 36 of the DISN Global Solutions (DGS)$4.2 billion dollar / 10yrs T&M contract in direct support Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and previously as the Operations Manager supporting DISA’s Global Information Grid Operational Picture (GIGCOP)$28 million dollar initiative.Prior to working at SAIC Mr. Rivera was previously Deputy Program Manager of Technology at SOS International Ltd (SOSi) supporting United States Strategic Command Foreign Media Analysis (FMA)$68 million dollar / 5yrs contract.Prior to working at SOSi Mr. Rivera was globally deployed in the service of his country as a United States Marine and honorably retired March of 2005. Mr. Rivera received numerous letters of commendations and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal in recognition of his resourcefulness and abilities to achieve mission objectives against overwhelming adversity.Mr. Rivera earned a Bachelor of Science from Strayer University with a double major in Computer Information Systems and Computer Networking and is currently attending Strayer University in pursuit of a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management.
