ABOUT JOSEPH MELLORS

Joseph completed an apprenticeship in marketing before earning a first-class BSc (Hons) degree at Alliance Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester, with recognition for “an outstanding dissertation submitted by a final year Honours Student”. Following this, Joseph earned an MSc with distinction from Northumbria University, with recognition as the “Best Postgraduate Student in the Social Sciences Subject Area”. Joseph stayed at Northumbria to complete his RDF-funded doctoral studies.Joseph\'s research interests are anchored in social development, organisational dynamics, and effective organising, with an emphasis on promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. To date, Joseph has published in media outlets and high-impact journals, including Asia Times, the British Journal of Industrial Relations (ABS 4*) and Leisure Studies (ABS 2*). He currently has an article in submission with Gender, Work & Organization (ABS 3*). In his current role as an APP Evaluation Senior Research Assistant, Joseph leads an impact evaluation of international student mobility through the lens of widening participation. The project aims to improve access to international mobility programmes for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
